About The Role
NPL is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced and a skilled Warehouse Specialist to join our Supply Chain team based on Site, Porgera. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure the efficient, safe, and accurate handling of materials and inventory. This includes supervising daily activities such as receiving, storing, and issuing materials; maintaining accurate inventory records in SAP or equivalent systems; and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The position plays a key role in supporting logistics, procurement, and operational teams through effective stock management, timely material delivery, and continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
In This Role, You Will, Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, and issuing of materials.
- Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded in SAP (or relevant ERP system).
- Maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment and avoiding stockouts.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
- Supervise warehouse operators and provide technical guidance on material handling procedures.
- Enforce safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards across all warehouse areas.
- Support logistics, maintenance, and operations teams with timely delivery of parts and materials.
- Coordinate with procurement and transport teams for inbound and outbound material movements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and warehouse optimization initiatives.
About You
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Certificate or Diploma in Supply Chain, Warehousing, or Logistics (Degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in warehouse operations, preferably within a mining or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (SAP experience highly regarded).
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound understanding of safety standards and material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a high-demand, fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of invoice discrepancy processes (desirable).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the NPL’s Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health and safety rules and procedures.

This PNG National Staff role is offered on a FIFO basis with a 21/14 roster and a highly competitive remuneration package.
